Job Summary:
The Employee Relations (ER) Intern will support the HR team by assisting with administrative support, engagement initiatives, and development of intervention tools. They will participate in conflict resolution, contribute to HR projects, and handle administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in employee relations and human resources, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and are pursuing a degree in a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Employee Relations (ER) team.
- Creation of new job aids, manuals, and tools.
- Assist in the maintenance of confidential employee documentation for current files and develop of new organizational system.
- Utilize AI tools and Excel for data analysis and reporting on existing and new projects for that include ER metrics and goals.
- Assist in production for ER presentations and training sessions.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in HR.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Support the ER team in handling employee inquiries and issues.
- Communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $25 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
