Project Management Intern

Project Management:  10-week paid summer internship

The Project Management Intern at Origami Works Foundation is responsible for supporting the planning and management of projects, learning and using both traditional and agile methods. With guidance from one or more experienced project managers, the Project Management Intern will schedule and set agendas for project-related meetings; track completed, current and upcoming tasks in the project management software; and manage the project issues list. In general, the Project Management Intern will work closely with team members, partners, and vendors to ensure follow through on project tasks and deliverables. The Intern will also take notes during project meetings; incorporate them into the project worksheet, and/or distribute the notes as needed. Along the way, the Project Management Intern will gain skills not only in project management but also in communications, effective collaboration, and problem solving.

The internship includes ~5 hours per week of paid professional development provided by our partners at The CAFÉ (Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education) designed to develop professional skills and facilitate professional networking.

In order to apply,  you must meet all of the minimum requirements listed below. (The deadline to apply is April 4th.) 

  1. Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for the period of the internship (June through August 2025).
  2. First Generation College Student
  3. Undergraduate student during the summer of 2025.  (Already started undergraduate college but have not yet graduated with a 4 year degree.)
  4. Live in Chicago or surrounding suburbs during summer of 2025.
