About the Business Development Representative role

We're hiring for our Business Development Team designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders at Scribe. This 12-month rotational program offers high-potential recent graduates (last 2 years) the opportunity to gain GTM experience working with customers and scaling a rapidly growing startup based out of San Francisco:  

While the primary focus is on sales development, some of the functions you will be contributing to:

  • Account Management
  • Customer Success & Onboarding
  • Growth and Top of Funnel Operations

Throughout the program, associates will:

  • Complete multiple rotations across sales and customer success.
  • Own high-impact projects that directly influence Scribe's growth.
  • Receive mentorship from senior leaders across the organization.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of Scribes product, business, and customers.

Upon completion of this program, the common promotion path will likely be into one of the following areas:

  • New Business Sales (Account Executive)
  • Customer Success
  • Sales Development

Roles in this program include:

Sales Development Representative

In Sales Development, you'll be the primary point of contact for SMB inbound inquiries while qualifying Enterprise opportunities. Core responsibilities include:

  • Providing an exceptional customer experience as the first face of Scribe
  • Explore the use of AI tooling that can improve the customer experience
  • Generating Enterprise pipeline and qualified opportunities for Account Executives
  • Bringing in paying customers and closing revenue
  • Contributing to the optimization of our inbound funnel and sales processes

Customer Success:

In Customer Success, you’ll be leading communications on one-to-many interactions with current customers. Core responsibilities include:

  • Running Email campaigns to nurture customers with best practices and new product updates
  • Running Webinars to drive engagement and train new Scribe users
  • Consulting with customers 1:1 to identify new opportunities for growth and adoption of Scribe
  • Sharing insights with the Customer Success team to equip the team with resources to deliver value to our customers

Business Development:

In Business Development, you’ll be focused on outbound activities, partnering closely with Account Executives. Core responsibilities include:

  • Reactivation campaigns to engage dormant prospects
  • Outbound messaging to drive awareness of Scribe and bring qualified prospects into the sales funnel
  • Qualifying calls to identify if customers would be a good fit for Scribe and specific use cases Scribe can help with
  • Researching accounts appropriately to ensure successful sales cycles

  • Passion for technology and ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn multiple aspects of the business.

Compensation: 

$70k-$80k USD OTE salary + Equity + Benefits

We consider several factors when determining compensation, including location, experience, and other job-related factors.
