
HR Intern
HR interns will develop a foundational understanding of the HR function and professional workplace dynamics. They will have an opportunity for hands on experience working in the areas of Recruitment, Engagement & Retention, Learning & Development, Compliance, and Planning while working on projects or supporting of the HR department’s daily activities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Engage in HR activities designed to enhance general HR understanding.
- Project work may include:
- Creating employee survey to determine interest in Employee Resource /Affinity Groups
- Creating and posting job advertisements online and via social media
- Assembling digital information packets to build toolkits online for managers and employees.
- Assist in preparing training materials.
- Research and prepare ad-hoc analysis.
- Organizing or filing of documents
- Prepare meeting notes.
- Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various projects
- Other duties and related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform the duties described above.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work at least 10 hours per week (maximum 15 hours per week) and be present on site at least 2 days a week.
- Ability to commit to the intern position for 90 days or until end of semester/quarter (opportunity available to extend past single semester/quarter if interested)
